Morrow recovering from upper body injury

The Dallas Stars placed left wing Brenden Morrow on injured reserve, retroactive to Jan. 21, Monday after he suffered an upper body injury during Saturday's game against the Wild.

Morrow, 33, has skated in 41 games for Dallas this season, notching eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points.

The 6-0, 205-pound forward from Carlyle, SK, has skated in all of his 790 NHL games with the Stars and became the 10th player in franchise history to record 500 points with the club on Nov. 12, 2011 vs. the Edmonton Oilers. 

The club also activated center Mike Ribeiro from injured reserve after missing the last seven games with an upper body injury.

Ribeiro, 31, has skated in 40 games for Dallas this season, accumulating 10 goals and 21 assists for 31 points. The 6-0, 177-pound center from Montreal, QC recorded points in eight of his last 11 contests prior to his injury (seven goals, five assists).
 
The Dallas Stars will faceoff against the Anaheim Ducks at 7:30 p.m. CT at American Airlines Center.
