Meet the Cowboys' Biggest “Displaced” Fan

Man from heart of Redskins country converts garage to Cowboys shrine

A Dallas Cowboys fan from Virginia has been named "America's Ultimate Displaced Fan" by DIRECTV.

Ron Lawrence, of Chesapeake, Va., converted his two-car garage into a Cowboys haven where he can watch the team play every week during the NFL season.

Despite living in Redskins country his whole life, Lawrence has been a Cowboys fan since he was 8 years old.

He submitted a reality TV-style video of him and his daughter that showed Lawrence's love for America's Team and offered a tour of his garage.

The converted garage features a miniature replica of Texas Stadium, complete with identically painted field turf with the Cowboys star logo at midfield, white stars along the blue walls bordering the field and his collection of Cowboys memorabilia.

Lawrence won a trip for two to Tampa, Fla., to attend the Super Bowl.

DIRECTV conducts a contest each year to find the most passionate fan of team who lives outside of his or her favorite team.
