Chuka Ndule has done a lot in three years in the United States.
The soon-to-be senior at Dallas Jesuit came from Nigeria before his freshman year, having never played a second of American football in his life, and now, he's committed to play football at Oklahoma, The Dallas Morning News' recruiting blog reported. Oral committments are non-binding. The first day a 2010 recruit can sign a national letter of intent is Feb. 3.
Ndule, at 6 foot 3 inches, 240 pounds projects as a rush defensive end in the college game after putting on some expected weight, which likely won't be much of a problem once he hits a college weight program.
He also had offers from Oklahoma State, Kansas, Nebraska, UTEP and Utah, but said he chose the Sooners after his visit to Norman, Okla.
"I kind of fell in love with the place," he told the Morning News.
Though he had never played football, he's now headed to perhaps the biggest college football powerhouse in this region of the United States.
He said he saw the game on television one day and thought he'd give it a go.
