Hamilton Hospitalized with Pneumonia

Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton was hospitalized Monday with an early case of pneumonia, the team said Tuesday.

Hamilton is currently being treated at a local hospital and is expected to be released within the next 24 hours.

Josh should be able to resume his conditioning and baseball activities within the next several days, according to the team.

Through the team, the Hamilton family has asked for privacy at this time.

Hamilton was named the AL MVP in 2010 after the team made it to their first-ever World Series.
