The outside of the new Lorenzo Hotel on the southern edge of downtown Dallas is catching eyes with its bold graphics.But step inside the 12-story hotel and you'll find a modern art show along with rooms offering a skyline view.Hamilton Properties has just finished a $35 million renovation of the Akard Street high-rise, which started life in 1972 as a Ramada Inn.After sitting empty for almost a decade, the building has been reborn as a 237-room boutique hotel.So far most of the business at the hotel - which opened earlier this year - has been from conventions and group meetings, said developer Larry Hamilton.
