Dallas' New Lorenzo Hotel Offers an Art Show Along With the Rooms

The outside of the new Lorenzo Hotel on the southern edge of downtown Dallas is catching eyes with its bold graphics.But step inside the 12-story hotel and you'll find a modern art show along with rooms offering a skyline view.Hamilton Properties has just finished a $35 million renovation of the Akard Street high-rise, which started life in 1972 as a Ramada Inn.After sitting empty for almost a decade, the building has been reborn as a 237-room boutique hotel.So far most of the business at the hotel - which opened earlier this year - has been from conventions and group meetings, said developer Larry Hamilton.  Continue reading...
