Paris Hilton Dreads Turning 30 โ€“ But Will Capture It On Camera

Paris Hilton is taking the prospect of her upcoming 30th birthday like any good celeb-utante would: โ€œIโ€™m freaking out.โ€

โ€œI can't believe I'm going to be 30,โ€ the hard-partying heiress tells PopcornBiz of the milestone she faces on Feb. 17. โ€œIt's very strange. I feel like I'm an adult now. Thirty is the new 20, they're saying โ€“ so at least I look like I'm 20.โ€

Like just about every other element of her life, Hiltonโ€™s big birthday will be captured on camera for her new reality series โ€œThe World According to Paris,โ€ with eight hour-long episodes airing on Oxygen this spring.

โ€œIt's going to be filmed on the show,โ€ she says, โ€œand it's a big birthday so I'm going to be going to a lot of places for it. LA, New York, Vegas, and I'm not sure where else. But I'm going to definitely do a couple birthday parties.โ€

With her third unscripted show, Hilton says her fans will finally see what her fast-lane life is really like. โ€œNo one really saw my real life before. On 'The Simple Life' it was a character I was playing and it was very scripted and formatted and it was me living as a fish out of water. And this time it's me in my real life, my real world. Everything that happens: all the drama, all the craziness and the good, the bad โ€“ everything.โ€

Never one to shy away from the controversies that typically orbit her โ€“ the sex tape, the arrest, the frienemies, the ex-fiances โ€“ Hilton says sheโ€™s got no problem with the new way of exposing herself. โ€œI've been through so much in life that I'm not afraid to hide anything,โ€ she says. โ€œAt this point, I really have let the cameras in to see my life. And, yeah, of course there's going to be things that I'm like, 'Oh, my God. I can't believe they filmed that.' But it's also going to be really great television. So it's worth it.โ€

โ€œI'm a person who loves to live life to the fullest,โ€ she admits. โ€œThere are so many misconceptions about me and rumors and lies that I read. I'm like, 'Who is this person they're talking about?' And that's just part of being in the media world, so I don't really pay attention. And on the show you're really going to see that that's not the person I am.โ€
