The commander of one of the key military ships involved in the Malaysia jet search said Sunday that the hunt is "the most challenging" he's ever seen, NBC News reported. Commander Phillip Newell of the British Navy ship HMS Echo said the vessel has "world-leading capability" in collecting data from the bottom of the sea but that the area being searched had “very difficult oceanographic conditions.”
