After UT's Tyrone Swoopes made a last-second lunge across the goal line Sunday to give the Longhorns a double-overtime win against Notre Dame, Whataburger invited the Irish a consolation prize.
Of sorts.
A rep for the Texas-based chain tweeted the following on the company's main account: "Notre Dame can still get a win by stopping by Whataburger on the way out of Texas."
The tweet was well-received, by Texas fans at least. At the time of this writing it's been retweeted more than 42,000 times and liked 55,000 times.
It's not clear how many of those RTs or likes were by Irish fans.
