Floyd Simpson, a 25-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department who in 2012 became the chief of police in Corpus Christi, died Sunday evening in a motorcycle crash in Port Aransas, according to the police chief there.
Port Aransas Police Chief Scott Burroughs says it’s still early in the investigation, but that the circumstances appear “cut-and-dried.” The accident, he says, occurred around 5:50 Sunday evening.
