Two Dead After Arlington Crash Friday Night

A man and woman were killed after a crash Friday night in Arlington.

The crash happened in the 2200 block of Randy Snow Road near East Lamar Boulevard.

Arlington police said officers were attempting to locate a felony warrant suspect at an apartment complex, when a man and woman jumped in a car and sped away.

While traveling north on Randy Snow Road, police said the driver lost control and the vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane, hit the curb, a wooden fence and then slammed into a tree,

The driver, a 40-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman, a 32-year-old woman, who police said had an outstanding felony warrant for aggravated assault on a peace officer, was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.

Arlington police said officers were not in pursuit of the vehicle and found out about the crash when a neighbor called police to report hearing the crash.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office will release the identities once next of kin have been notified.
