Tens of Thousands Attend Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The annual event is the largest St. Patrick's Day celebration in the Southwest

Over 100,000 people attended Dallas' Saint Patrick's Day Parade Saturday morning along Greenville Avenue.

The parade, which followed a two-mile route, featured around 100 floats and close to 2,000 participants.

Dallas Fire-Rescue said it treated 27 patients at the parade, including five who were transported to area hospitals.

Medics had to perform CPR on one spectator, who collapsed due to an "unknown medical emergency," Dallas Fire-Rescue said. That person was successfully revived.

Traffic in the area was a concern for the rest of Saturday night, as closures for a block party on Lower Greenville lasted until 8 p.m.
