A Southwest flight returned to Dallas Love Field Airport Monday morning after striking a bird, the FAA says.
The Boeing 737 had taken off for Albuquerque at about 10:30 a.m. when the strike happened, according to a spokesperson for the FAA. The plane turned around and landed without incident, the spokesperson said. [[247415601,C]]
A Southwest spokesperson said the flight returned "out of an abundance of caution."
Passengers were booked on another flight to Albuquerque and the plane will undergo a routine inspection, the spokesperson said.
