Round Rock Man Faces Murder Charges

Man allegedly confessed to throwing his girlfriend's 3-year old

A 20-year-old Central Texas man is charged with capital murder in the death of his girlfriend's toddler son.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Christian Javier Rodriguez of Round Rock allegedly confessed to police on Wednesday to throwing the 3-year-old in a manner that caused serious bodily injury. An autopsy shows the boy died from blunt force trauma that caused a laceration to an internal organ.

Round Rock paramedics were unable to revive the child Sunday after responding to a report of him not breathing.

The Williamson County District Attorney says Rodriguez and his girlfriend have a 6-month-old baby that child protective service workers have removed from the home.

Online jail records show Rodriguez was being held as of Thursday. They didn't list an attorney for him.
