Pastors on Patrol

Fort Worth police release 31 new clergy onto the streets to help crime victims.

More than two dozen clergy are out on the streets of Fort Worth, ready to help police whenever called.

The 31 members of the clergy are the newest graduates of Fort Worth's Clergy and Police Alliance program.

The clergy are on call to help console victims at crime scene. Police are often tied up trying to secure a crime scene or take a suspect into custody. The clergy offer comfort to the victims.

The 31 new graduates of the program make a total of 122 active pastors involved in the program citywide now.
