Parker County Deputies Warn of Phone Scam

Deputies in Parker County are warning people to beware of phone scammers posing as a bail bonding company.

The Parker County Sheriff's Office said it's received several reports of scammers calling people at random, claiming to be a representative of a family member who recently bonded out of jail.

The callers said a warrant will be issued unless payment is received. The scammer will then set up a meeting place where a money wire transfer is organized.

"The suspects do their homework," said Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler. "They know the name of the bonding company used by the inmate and call the victim by name, making their fictitious story believable."

The information is considered public by law, therefore making it easier for people to become victims.

The caller ID contact of the scammer(s) were reported to be from the following numbers:

  • 702-955-1108
  • 702-955-0708
  • 702-720-0983
  • 817-357-6965

Fowler said anyone with concerns about a possible fraudulent bonding call is encouraged to contact their bondsman and report suspicious activity to the Parker County Sheriff's Office.
