NWS Confirms Sixth Tornado This Week in North Texas

The National Weather Service confirmed Thursday that another tornado touched down this week in North Texas, bringing the total up to six.

NWS survey teams found damage consistent with an EF-1 tornado in far eastern Navarro County, and the same tornado became an EF-0 as it moved into Malakoff, in Henderson County.

The tornado covered approximately 14 miles and had maximum sustained winds of 105 miles per hour, the NWS said.

That report followed previous confirmation of EF-1 tornadoes Monday and Tuesday in Cool, Tolar and Stephenville; and EF-0 tornadoes in Benbrook and The Colony.

Three people were injured in the Tolar tornado and are expected to recover.
