Olympic bobsledder and "door buster" Johnny Quinn didn't get gold in Sochi but he has his sights set on a new athletic challenge.
On Sunday, Quinn tweeted that he was selected to be a contestant on America Ninja Warrior. Filming begins in March.
Quinn is a McKinney native and graduate of the University of North Texas.
He didn’t medal after participating in the four-man bobsled at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Quinn may be better known for busting out of a bathroom door in one of the Olympic Village dorm rooms. The picture of his break-out went viral. And the NBC 5 Today team pranked him when he came to the KXAS studios after the games.
"America Ninja Warrior" airs on the NBCUniversal owned Esquire Network. It will return to NBC 5 on May 26.
