A former Mansfield Independent School District special education teacher already accused of sexually assaulting a child now faces child pornography charges.
According to a U.S. Attorney's office news release, 62-year-old Kelly Dan Williams made his initial court appearance Monday on a complaint of child pornography production.
The complaint said Williams was observed on June 1 performing a sex act on an 11-year-old boy in a bathroom stall at Mary Orr Intermediate School. Police searched William's residence during an investigation and seized electronic storage devices, including a SD memory card.
Authorities said the SD card showed the suspect performing a sex act on boy who appeared to be younger than 12. Prosecutors said the video was created around Feb. 3, 2010.
It is not immediately clear if Williams has an attorney.
