Man Shot on West 7th Street in Fort Worth: Police

Police say a man who was shot near Montgomery Plaza in Fort Worth Wednesday afternoon suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Fort Worth Police Officer Jimmy Pollozani said there was an altercation between two men at about 12:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of West 7th Street.

The incident escalated, resulting in a man shooting the other, Pollozani said.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital. His identity has not been released.

Police searched the area, located the suspected shooter, who was armed with a weapon and arrested him. Police have not released his name.

There are several restaurants and shops in the area. No other injuries were reported.
