Man in Custody After High-Speed Chase, Crash

A man is in custody after leading Dallas County Sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase in North Dallas Monday afternoon.

Kameron Maxfield, 22, was apprehended near Sunland and Northwest Highway in Dallas at about 2:05 p.m, officials said.

Deputies initiated the chase after trying to make a traffic stop.

Maxfield refused and led deputies on a chase in excess of 100 mph, NBC 5 has learned.

Maxfield crashed near the Jupiter and McCree intersection, exited the car and ran toward the Madison Apartments.

Maxfield is currently being booked into the Dallas County Jail.
