Funeral Held For Girl Who Drowned In Septic Tank

Funeral services were held Friday for 3-year-old Alisandra 'Ali' Galvan who drowned after falling into her family's back yard septic tank.

Hundreds of volunteers searched for Ali after she was reported missing Tuesday night.  She was last seen playing with relatives at about 6 p.m. and police found the child drowned in the septic tank at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Ali's body, along with the septic tank's cover, was found after police pumped all the water out. Investigators suspected the child may have been standing on the cover of the septic tank when it collapsed.

Investigators have officially ruled her death an accidental drowning.

Ali was the granddaughter of Lisa Galvan, who had owned six Luna de Noche restaurants in the Dallas area, the Dallas Morning News reported. The paper also reported that the family had recently moved to the neighborhood from Plano and had just opened Agave Tex Mex Grill in Flower Mound.

The funeral was scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Calvary Hill Funeral Home located at 3235 Lombardi Lane in Dallas.
