Officers were called at about 1:40 p.m. to the Chase Bank branch in the 700 block of West Rosedale Street after witnesses said a man robbed the bank and ran away.
An off-duty Tarrant County deputy chased after the man, who was arrested a short time later, police said.
Two nearby schools – Daggett Middle School and Trimble Tech High School – were notified by police, and a representative for Fort Worth Independent School District said they were not affected and the schools were not placed on lockdown.
