Man Arrested After Chase, Standoff in Fort Worth

A man was arrested after he held off police during a standoff at his home in southeast Fort Worth Sunday afternoon, police said.

The man drove off from his home on the 5100 block of Nolan Street at about 2:15 p.m., according to police.

Officers chased him until he returned to his home and barricaded himself inside, according to Tracey Knight, police spokeswoman.

Officers with SWAT and a hostage negotiation team believed the man was alone. He was taken into custody without incident at 5:45 p.m. without further incident.

The man, who was not immediately identified, was wanted for felony warrants and evading arrest, Knight said.
