A former Grapevine police officer pleaded guilty to federal child pornography charges Wednesday.
Philip Woolery pleaded guilty to one count of production and one count of possession of child pornography.
Woolery was arrested by U.S. Postal Inspectors in October 2012 at his home in Crowley.
According to documents filed in the case, Woolery admitted that in August 2011 he used his digital camera to record a minor male engaging in sexually explicit conduct in a swimming pool. In addition, Woolery admitted that in October 2012, he possessed a laptop computer that contained a sexually explicit image of a nude minor male and that he used that computer and the Internet to search for websites containing child pornography.
Woolery faces not less than 15 or more than 40 years in federal prison, a $500,000 fine and a lifetime of supervised release. Sentencing is scheduled for September 17, 2013.
