Firefighters from Krum and Denton County Fire Departments are battled a brush fire just west of the town of Krum Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was located in a largely rural area near the 4700 block of Odneal Road.
Denton County Emergency Management spokesman Jody Gonzalez said a firefighter suffered heat exhaustion and was transported to Texas Health Denton Presbyterian Hospital as a precaution.
Gonzalez said the fire was contained as of 6:53 p.m. but firefighters would be on scene for quite awhile.
Firefighters from the cities of Flower Mound and Denton also helped battle the blaze.
