A Dallas police officer surrendered to the Denton County Sheriff's Department Wednesday after being accused of stalking and burglarizing his estranged wife.
Dallas police said Sgt. Gregory Epley Jr. was charged with stalking and burglary of a habitation for an incident that happened in Aubrey last October.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Epley and his wife Anna were getting divorced and she alleges he entered her residence without her consent and had taken several items including her marriage license, three birth certificates and four Social Security cards.

Anna also alleged her husband posted "ominous, frightening messages to social media" and once bought a pocket knife online and had it sent to her home, an act she found threatening.
According to an article in The Dallas Morning News, Epley received more than $100,000 in charitable donations to aid in his recovery from a rare form of tongue cancer -- which may explain his social media references to being a "walking dead man."
Dallas police said Epley — a 16-year veteran of the department — was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
