U.S. Attorney Kenneth Polite said a 26-year-old Dallas man who created a radio program called "Cheap Hoes Gotta Go" has been sentenced after admitting he brought a 16-year-old to Louisiana as a prostitute.
Polite said Taurean Jackson was sentenced last week to 22 1/2 years for conspiring to bring the Dallas-area girl to the New Orleans area for prostitution, and for obstructing a federal investigation.
District Judge Susie Morgan also ordered Jackson to pay $1,750 restitution, to register as a sex offender and to spend 10 year on supervised release, according to Polite.
Online records show that Jackson pleaded guilty early this year, and prosecutors dropped three other charges including child sex trafficking.
Co-defendant Andrea Birdow pleaded guilty in September. She was sentenced July 1. Online records don't show her sentence.
