Dallas ISD Moves Bus Stop from Dangerous Intersection

Dallas Independent School District officials moved a bus stop for students who live near a dangerous downtown Dallas intersection Wednesday.

The bus stop used to be at the intersection of Harry Hines Boulevard and Wolf Street, but it was moved inside Little Mexico Village. The change comes after school bus stop arm violations at the intersection reached a level higher than any other intersection in the city.

Parents told NBC 5 that drivers traveling along Harry Hines Boulevard consistently drive right around the stop arms, so they are glad the change was made.

District officials said moving the stop will make the commute safer for the elementary and high school students, but drivers also need to change the way they drive in the area.
