CRASH SLOWS DOWN LBJ FREEWAY
A wreck involving an 18-wheeler slowed down traffic on westbound LBJ Freeway on Tuesday afternoon. Police said a large truck hauling paper overturned at Josey Lane just before 2 p.m. Hazardous materials crews were called in to clean up spilled diesel fuel that was running across the freeway. Aerial footage also showed a car that crashed into the barrier of the HOV lane. Photos also showed major traffic delays as only one lane was getting by.
HURST POLICE: MAN RECORDING IN WOMEN'S RESTROOM
Police said they are looking for a man who was allegedly recording with a cell phone in a women's bathroom at a Hurst bookstore. A Euless woman told police she thought the man recorded her in the bathroom at the Barnes & Noble in the 800 block of North East Mall Boulevard on Feb. 1, the Star-Telegram reported. An Arlington woman also saw him in the bathroom, police said. Store employees were not able to catch him. More in the Star-Telegram.
WOMAN SUSPECTED IN DEADLY DALLAS HIT-AND-RUN
Dallas police have identified the driver who allegedly hit and killed a Good Samaritan on Sunday morning. Ronald Glen Davis, 30, was hit when he was walking back to his car after helping two stranded motorists in the 11300 block of North Stemmons Freeway. Dallas police said Davis was thrown over the center wall, where he was struck again. Police said the first car stopped momentarily but then fled. The second car that hit Davis stopped to help. Police said late Monday afternoon they have identified the first driver as a 23-year-old woman. Her identity will not be released until she is booked into jail, police said.
FRISCO COUPLE FOUND DEAD AT RV PARK
A medical examiner said carbon monoxide killed a couple at an RV park in Rusk County. Sheriff's Office Sgt. Viki Penny on Tuesday identified the victims as Matthew Thomas Rawley, 43, and his wife, Erica Nicole Rawley, 34, both of Frisco. Penny said deputies were dispatched to Gator Run RV Park on Sunday night after a relative of the Rawleys called to say they never arrived at their Denton County residence as planned. Penny said the victims were dead in their trailer. The Southwestern Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas on Monday confirmed the cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning.
ARLINGTON POLICE TO FIGHT ONLINE PROSTITUTION
Arlington police say they have received numerous complaints about online postings for what appears to be prostitution. The department is launching operation "You Never Know" to fight online solicitation. Undercover officers will be surfing the Web, posing as prostitutes and johns. Read this story on NBCDFW.com.
