DALLAS REAL ESTATE AGENT ARRESTED IN '86 KILLING
Fort Worth police arrested a 63-year-old Dallas real estate agent Wednesday in connection with the attempted sexual assault and fatal shooting of a Fort Worth mother over 22 years ago. Investigators said a law enforcement database matched Jay Thayer William's fingerprints to those found on duct tape that was wrapped around Sandra Leah Martin. STRING OF CARJACKINGS LINKED TO ONE SUSPECT
A man Dallas police identified as a suspect in a string of Mockingbird area carjackings has served time for past thefts in the area, authorities said. Marl Jerome Alexander, 36,was arrested Monday night after he threatened a woman with a knife and took her car outside a coin-operated laundry located off Mockingbird Lane, police said. WOMAN FATALLY SHOOTS HOME INTRUDER
A woman fatally shot a man who broke into her apartment Tuesday night in Red Bird, the Dallas Morning News reported.  The shooting happened in the 8000 block of Leigh Ann Drive.  Two women were inside the apartment with a child when the man knocked on the door and then tried to get inside.  One woman called police as the other shot the man as he entered the apartment, police said. Police said the man lived in the complex, but the women did not know him.
