Jury Convicts Teen of Attempted Capital Murder

Teen fantasized about cannibalism, police say

A Collin County jury has convicted a Frisco teen obsessed with serial killing of attempted capital murder and deadly conduct for trying to slay two people in 2006.

Edward Mike Ji, 19, was convicted Thursday of shooting then 14-year-old Bryan Chevalier when he answered the door of his Frisco home. Chevalier survived.

Jurors also found Ji guilty of trying to shoot Peter Reid, of Frisco, who was out walking with his wife in their gated neighborhood. Reid was not harmed.

Ji told Frisco police that he wanted to become a prolific serial killer and fantasized about cannibalism.
