Construction Worker Fatally Hit By Vehicle on U.S. 380

A construction worker was fatally hit by a vehicle while he was working on U.S. Highway 380 Wednesday afternoon.

The driver who fatally hit the construction worker stayed at the scene along with other passing drivers who tried to help the injured man.

β€œThe lifesaving attempts by civilians lasted until first responders arrived,” a press release said.

The construction worker was transported to the Medical Center of Plano and then pronounced dead by the Collin County Medical Examiner, according to the press release.

The man was working on the construction of a turn lane on the 26000 block of East University Drive, or U.S. 380, before he was hit and killed.
