On Sept. 20, police were called to the home of 46-year-old Kelli Underwood. The mother of three was found dead in her home in the 1100 block of Parkview Drive in Princeton. Investigators believe she'd been there for four days, the victim of a homicide.
"I cry myself to sleep at night and wonder when it is going to stop hurting," said Underwood's younger sister, Ginger Ambrose. "I wish I could have been there to help her."
Ambrose and her husband, Scott, are on a mission to find out who killed Underwood and why.
"I do believe someone will come forward," Scott Ambrose said. "Someone had to have heard something, whether it was a gunshot, or if it was a struggle."
Ambrose said her family is struggling to understand and find closure.
"She had a long life left to live, and it was taken from her," Ambrose said through tears. "My sister and I had disagreements, which is the most painful thing for me — not being able to tell her goodbye, or I'm sorry, or help her."
Ambrose said she didn't know of anyone who would want to harm her sister, but believed the presence of surveillance cameras at the home meant her sister must have been worried about something, or someone.

"It's too small of a town for somebody not know something," Ginger Ambrose said.
Police are working with the Collin County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Rangers. Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Princeton Police at 972-736-3901.
