Child Among Injured in Road Rage Shooting: Police

A 14-year-old child and another person have been rushed to the hospital after they were shot Sunday afternoon in an apparent road rage incident, according to police.

Three people were in the car and heading southbound on President George Bush Highway, about a quarter mile North of Lakeview Parkway.

According to police, a 14-year-old was shot in the hand and taken to Children's Medical Center. The driver, who was not identified, was shot in the shoulder and taken to Plano Medical Center. The third person in the vehicle was not injured, police said.

An investigation was underway to find the person who fired the shots. Officers were treating the shooting as a road rage incident, but did not release further information.
