Former Mavs ManiAAC Dancer Found Guilty of Capital Murder

Former Dallas Mavericks ManiAAC Erbie Bowser was found guilty Friday in the shooting deaths of four women and injuries to four children in 2013.

Bowser, 48, killed his estranged wife, Zina Bowser and her daughter Neima Williams in their Dallas home. That same night, police said he also killed his girlfriend and her daughter in their DeSoto home.

Bowser pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity in the capital murder trial.

His lawyer cited military service and multiple concussions sustained playing football as having affected his mental state.

Bowser performed from 2002 to 2009 for the Dallas Mavericks' ManiAACs, which the NBA team described as a dance troupe of "beefy men" who entertain fans during games.

The sentencing phase of the trial is now underway.
