Dallas County authorities said an unknown number of people in a reportedly stolen pickup truck led them on a chase Tuesday morning. [[334516221,C]]
The chase started near U.S. 175 and Bruton Road at about 2 a.m. when officers noticed the dark green Ford F-250 being driven with its lights off and checked its license plates, authorities said.
Speeds exceeded 100 mph during the chase, according to Dallas County Sheriff's deputies. At one point, authorities spiked the truck, damaging its front tires.
Authorities said they lost sight of the suspect’s vehicle near Rylie Crest Drive and Haymarket Road.
Sheriff's Department spokesman Raul Reyna said they found the vehicle abandoned near the intersection of U.S. 175 and St. Augustine Drive.
