Arlington to Shut Off Major Water Valve for Repair

Hundreds of people in Arlington will have their water shut off for a large portion of the day Friday while crews try to fix a broken valve.

Officials said repair crews will shut off water access at the northwest corner of West Sublett Road and South Bowen Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Affected streets include:

  • 2600-3100 block of W. Sublett Road
  • Wind Drift Trail
  • Dover Gardens Drive
  • Sterling Green Trail
  • Autumn Wheat Trail
  • Terra Drive
  • Royal Circle
  • Downing Court
  • Princess Anne
  • Coach Lane
  • Queen Elizabeth
  • Hampton Drive
  • Prince of Wales
  • Victoria Station
  • Royal Coach Lane
  • Prince Edward

Officials said the 16-inch valve must be shut off because of its size.

City of Arlington officials apologized for the inconvenience in a statement, adding that they only shuts off the water when it is necessary.
