American Airlines Reaches Deal With Dispatchers

American Airlines and the Transport Workers Union Local 549 have reached a tentative contract agreement for dispatchers and operational specialists.

"Our Dispatchers and Ops Specialists play a critical role in our airline and today's agreement represents a significant step in the integration process," said Lome Cass, vice president of American's Integrated Operations Center.

American is still working to combine its assets with those of the former US Airways.

Details of the tentative agreement were not released.

American said the TWU Local 549 would share those with its members in the coming weeks.
