A 56-year-old Haltom City woman killed in a hit-and-run crash Aug. 20 has been identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner.

The ME identified the woman as 56-year-old A. Kristin Nichole Alexandyre.

Police said the woman, who was riding alone, didn’t have any identification on her when she was killed.  The medical examiner's office said it took several days to track down the woman's family for positive identification.

Police believe a dark-colored Toyota 4Runner hit Alexandyre between the 5600 and 5700 blocks of E. Belknap Street at about 4 a.m. A witness told officers the driver stopped and got out but later got back into the vehicle and fled.

The 21-year-old woman, later identified as Mackenzie Thomas, was arrested and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter. She’s currently being held in the North Richland Hills Jail with a bond set at $101,000.

Video captured by security cameras outside of nearby business, Texas Tires, shows what appears to be the SUV with sparks flying, likely from dragging the bicycle.  Those at the shop tell NBC 5 the police reviewed and copied the video as part of the investigation Thursday morning.
