Cedar Park police are investigating after a woman in her 20s was found dead with apparent gunshot wounds in an apartment.
Authorities aren't releasing the woman's name until her family has been notified. A police spokeswoman said detectives were investigating her death on Tuesday as a homicide.
Cedar Park Assistant Police Chief Mike Harmon said the shooting wasn't a random act based on the department's preliminary investigation. Harmon said the public isn't in danger.
Harmon said police found the woman after her boyfriend who lived with her in the apartment called 911.
