Authorities have seized bundles of cash adding up to $620,000 during a South Texas traffic stop.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says the driver from Mexico has been arrested on felony money laundering counts.
A trooper on patrol Thursday morning in Hidalgo County stopped a southbound car on U.S. 281 for a traffic violation. DPS says the investigation led to a search of the vehicle.
The trooper discovered the 65 bundles of currency concealed in the car.
Investigators are trying to determine the source of the cash.
