Skeletal Remains Found in Arlington

The skeletal remains of a person were found in Arlington Friday morning.

At about 11 a.m., three men approached an officer at a convenience store and told him they had discovered the remains in a nearby wooded area along the 200 block of W. Arbrook Boulevard.

The officer investigated and found the decomposed remains about 200 feet from the roadway.

Investigators are working to identify this person and determine whether foul play was involved in his or her death. Additionally, Arlington police investigators are looking through missing person cases in the area to see if these remains might be the subject of one of those investigations, police said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will determine the person's cause of death.
