Past, Present Games Highlighted at Convention

Whether you’re a fan of classic games like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong, or more recent games like Guitar Hero, the “Let’s Play Gaming” expo has something for you.

Gamers from all over North Texas made their way to the expo at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas this weekend.

The convention had nearly 100 arcade cabinets, and a vendor section that featured a huge collection of new and old games.

There were also different retro and modern tournaments taking place, as well as a Super Smash Bros tournament.

Attendees could also meet special guests and game creators.

Warren Davis, co-creator of the game Q-Bert was at the convention.

He created the game back and 1982, and enjoys watching people play and enjoy his game years later.

“People are bringing their families and kids, and they are enjoying these games as much as people did when they were new," Davis said.

The convention wraps up Sunday at 6pm.
