A man riding a motorcycle was serious injured in a hit-and-run crash Sunday after being hit from behind and run over along a Texas 121 access road.

According to police, the rider was exited northbound Texas 121 at Harwood and was on the 2400 block of the feeder road when a dark-colored four-door Hyundai sedan struck him from behind.

As the sedan hit the motorcycle rider, the driver drove completely over the motorcycle rider, dragging both the rider and motorcycle several feet, police said.

According to witnesses, the driver of the car did not stop at the scene of the crash.

The motorcycle rider was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries.

Video of the collision was recorded on surveillance video and released by police Tuesday.

The Bedford Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the owner or driver of the car; police say it may be a 2006-2010 model Hyundai Elantra.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Bedford Criminal Investigations at 817-952-2411 or Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS (8477).
