Man's Body Recovered from Lake Lewisville

Man's body recovered Sunday

The body of a man blown into the water by high winds on Saturday was recovered Sunday.

Joseph Gardiner, 43, and his wife were on a small rubber raft near Sneaky Pete's when high winds caused the boat to capsize.

Gardiner's wife swam to shore, but he didn't make it.  Gardiner told officials she saw her husband once before he went under.

His body was recovered Sunday evening.

Rescue teams said Gardiner was not wearing a life jacket when his body was found.
