A man sitting inside his parked vehicle was shot and killed Thursday, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.
FWPD North Division officers responded to a shots fired call at 3712 North Elm Street that morning.
Upon arrival, officers were informed Jose Alvarez had been shot while inside a parked vehicle in front of the residence. Friends drove Alvarez to a hospital for treatment.
Officers went to the hospital where Alvarez was being treated and were informed he had been pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
