Johnson County Rocked by Tenth 2012 Earthquake

The United States Geological Survey says there was a 2.7 magnitude earthquake in Johnson County on Friday morning.

The quake was about 9 miles west/southwest of Cleburne and 19 miles southwest of Burleson at about 7:27 a.m.

Today's tremor is the tenth earthquake to rock Johnson County since January 2012. This is the third minor earthquake in the area in a week.

On July 6, a 2.7 magnitude quake hit approximately 3 miles northeast of Keene and 8 miles northeast of Cleburne at 3:26 a.m.

Then on July 10, a 2.4 magnitude quake happened at 9:22 p.m., one mile southwest of Keene, three miles northeast of Cleburne.

Authorities have not received any reports of injuries caused by today's quake.
