Irving Three Alarm Fire Displaces Families

A three alarm fire at the Eagle Crest II Apartments in Irving has displaced several families.

Irving firefighters responded to the blaze around 10:30 Friday night.

Ten units were damaged by a combination of fire, smoke and water damage.

No injuries were reported from the incident, and the cause is still under investigation.

When firefighters first arrived, they saw heavy flames coming from the roof of one of the units.

The fire quickly spread to adjourning units before it was brought under control.

The Red Cross and complex management are working to find alternate housing, clothing, food and financial assistance for those displaced.
