Grand Prairie Police Recover Stolen Car, 2 Arrested

Grand Prairie police recovered a stolen vehicle and took two people into custody after running a license plate check on a motorist Tuesday.

According to a tweet from the Grand Prairie Police Department, an officer on the President George Bush Turnpike discovered a vehicle had been reported stolen after running a check on the license plate.

Several other officers were called as backup and the driver was pulled over on the ramp from southbound PGBT to westbound Interstate 30.

Two people inside the vehicle were taken into custody. Their names and what charges they'll face have not yet been revealed.

The ramp to westbound I-30 was closed for a short time due to the stop.
