Authorities say an early morning house fire in which four Dallas firefighters were injured was intentionally set.
Fire Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said firefighters saw flames rising from the back of the roof when they arrived at the vacant, one-story wood-frame house in south Dallas shortly after midnight Wednesday.
Evans said a firefighter working on top of the house was injured when a small section of the roof collapsed beneath him.
Evans said that firefighter suffered facial burns and smoke inhalation and was taken to Parkland Hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Three others firefighters who suffered from smoke inhalation and minor burns from falling debris were treated and released from the hospital.
The fourth firefighter was released from the hospital late Wednesday afternoon.
Arson investigators determined that the fire was set but don't yet know how or by whom.
